What Does A Somatic Coaching Session Look Like?
Our work as trauma-informed somatic coaches, and functional holistic practitioners with for over 7 years of experience adds a deep dimension to traditional physical and mind focused approaches.
A Somatic Coaching session is a very collaborate space to help you better connect and understand your patterns, habits, and wounds and how you respond to life while helping you learn how to partner with your body to bring safety and regulation to your nervous system.
Somatic work functions on the belief that the body knows how to heal. During your sessions, which are held through zoom, one of us (based on your preference of coach) will guide you through a process of connecting to physical sensations, emotions, and bodily experiences related to past or present stress or trauma.
As you tune into your bodies experience you will be guided through practices to support a shift or release of any physical tension, emotions, stress, or limiting mental beliefs.
The structure of session may feel like a mix of traditional talk therapy, but with the focus on the body, and a guided meditation journey.
Each session varies and is agenda-less, trusting your body to lead what is ready to be healed.
We typically work with clients through a series of sessions, as with all healing work it doesn’t happen overnight.
This work is deeply transformative. It is never about fixing yourself, but rather coming home to your wholeness, honoring every part of your journey, and reclaiming peace, freedom and worthiness.

WELCOME to our little corner of this beautiful world!
We are Mattie & Amanda 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏻♀️ We are two Montana girls that started out as certified Functional Nutritional Therapy practitioners🩺 who became trained in various root cause labs + joined together to launch a coaching practice focused on getting to the root cause of chronic hormone, immune, and gut issues. As we began to work with women we started to realize how many symptoms were actually rooted in past trauma and emotional wounds❤️🩹 Since we are firm believers in the holistic approach & that community is a big piece of healing, we gathered women to retreats where we taught tools for physical healing AND emotional transformation. 💫
But, somewhere between running a practice, hosting retreats, physical trauma, and meeting the demands of everyday life, we hit major overwhelm, anxiety, and burnout.🥴 With our passion to support women in their healing and helping them create freedom still strong, we knew we needed to go deeper and break the cycles of survival mode that had been unconsciously running us.❌️
So we invested in mentors, got certified in breathwork and began a powerful journey to become certified as trauma-informed Somatic Coaches🤍 The more we integrated somatic work...the more automatic our changes became... the more peace we created...the more calm we accessed... the more freedom we felt...the more connected we became...the more love we felt...the more healing unfolded... you get the point. 😁
And now we're on a mission to help more women get to the ultimate root cause and turn their own survival patterns into peace, healing, empowerment, and freedom!🕊
Meet Mattie

I grew up in the mountains of Montana, where the forest was my playground and nature was my medicine.
Although most of my past was happy, I was born into a strict, fear-based religion where I learned early to suppress my emotions, and trained to earn love and approval.
At a young age I experienced abuse and began to hide more and more of my true self behind masks of over striving, perfectionism, and people pleasing.
As I grew up, my body began reflecting the emotional tension and stress I held within through migraines, food intolerances, and hormonal chaos that led to a discovery of a severe case of PCOS.
Still seeking worth and value, I married young and soon after became a mother. While motherhood brought moments of beauty, it also deepened my struggles. My depression worsened, my hormones flatlined, and I felt beyond stuck in survival mode. When my third child was born, it became clear something was deeply wrong. Diagnosed with autoimmune issues and severe allergies, her health challenges pushed me to trust the medical system. But when only band aid solutions were offered, I took it upon myself to learn everything I could to help her, sparking a journey of discovery and healing for us both.
What began as a desperate quest to heal my daughter became a deeper transformation for me. I started to uncover the root causes of my own pain and survival patterns, realizing that the answers lay not in fixing myself but in reconnecting with my body and emotions. Through these challenges, I found my true medicine: a path of healing that embraced nervous system regulation, somatic work, and self-compassion.
This journey has not only transformed my life but also fueled my passion for helping others step out of survival mode and reclaim their own freedom, peace, and connection.

Meet Amanda

I grew up in San Diego, surrounded by sunshine and the beach. Although my parents were loving and offered me such a beautiful childhood, alcoholism ran in the family, and I developed a deep resentment, especially toward my father, for drinking around my younger brother and me. I felt I had to protect my brother and "fix" my parents, taking on a heavy responsibility at a young age. This need for control made me feel safe, but it also caused emotional turmoil, especially in my teens, when I struggled with self-image and fitting in.
In high school, I became obsessed with gaining control over my appearance and social life. Although I wasn’t actively partying, I felt the need to protect my friends and fix their situations by always offering to be the designated driver, taking on a mothering role, and baling them out of trouble. Unconsciously, I began dating older boys to feel more mature, but this only led to poor decisions that fueled my lack of self worth and a painful diagnosis of HSV1. This triggered deep shame and fear, but instead of accepting a lifetime of medication, I took matters into my own hands and put my condition into remission through diet and supplements, sparking my passion for holistic healing.
While in college studying nutrition, I worked at a surf shop where I entered a relationship that temporarily helped me escape my unresolved emotions and family issues. However, my body soon began showing signs of stress, including hormone imbalances, migraines, and anxiety. After five years, I realized I was stuck in an unfulfilling relationship and still trying to manage my emotions and health. The breakup that followed shook me to my core but marked the beginning of my journey toward deeper emotional and physical healing.
I ditched the college degree and delved into certification programs that included nutritional therapy, functional medicine, and emotional healing. I moved to Montana, started a practice, and began embracing somatic work and trauma healing, especially after a life-changing accident where I broke my back. This forced me to slow down and focus on healing my body and nervous system. Today, I help others navigate their emotional and physical challenges through somatic work combined with functional medicine, guiding them toward transformation and freedom
